Our Story

We started Functional Garage Cabinets because, over many years and through our real estate journey (which included over 20 new homes or rebuilds), we couldn’t find cabinets for our garages or laundry rooms that fit our space or our specific lifestyle needs.

Lack of proper cabinet space lead to an unorganized garage, chaos and messy laundry rooms. As our family grew, this messiness became a bigger problem!

On our cabinet seeking journey, we made a lot of purchases that did not serve us. We purchased cabinets that quickly fell apart or fell off our walls (in 6 months or less!). We were left frustrated, with a mess to clean up and less money in our pockets.

Through the frustration of not being able to find what we needed; Tim decided to build his own cabinets. By working together, we created simple and functional designs we love, at affordable prices, made of quality material that we feel great about.

And then we realized that if we had this problem, a lot of other families had this problem too! Which lead to us founding Functional Garage Cabinets.
